This is a very easy, well designed website for kids to explore. The graphics are excellent and just make you want to click on the various aspects of the site. It is divided into four sections: Virtual Leonardo, Renaissance Man,Exploring Leo and Multi media. Within each of these sections are subsets that focus on specific aspects of the greatest mind of the Renaissance. The text is very kid friendly. It is easy to read, engaging and informative.
Student Activity: Have students enter the site and click on the "Renaissance Man" section and read the biography. From there, encourage students to explore the rest of the site. After they have had a chance to explore, instruct the students to go back to the "Exploring Leo" section and click on "What, When and Where" section which is an interactive map that allows students to click on a city and see just what works Leonardo did and when he did them. From there, have students get into groups see if they can create a timeline of Leonardo's work using information gathered from the map. They can add images to their timeline by copying and pasting the images on the site.

This is a really fun website! Very comprehensive. I really enjoyed the moving images on the homepage. It reminded me of the themed Google home pages. Great motivation for students.
